Due process is a crucial cornerstone of our justice system, yet there are instances where this principle is violated. Individuals are often held in jail for days, weeks, and even months awaiting trial. If found innocent or charges are dismissed, these individuals will have their lives unjustly broken. Every day unnecessarily spent in jail puts employment, housing, education, and child custody at risk.
Please join Americans for Prosperity, the University of Findlay Criminal Justice Department, and State Senator Rob McColley to discuss Ohio’s broken pre-trial system and how Senate Bill 182 can fix it.
