Come and spend an unforgettable and enjoyable evening with animal photographer and illustrator Jim Arnosky. Jim is self-taught in writing, art and the natural sciences. He has written and illustrated 132 books on nature subjects and has illustrated 46 other books written by various authors. He has over 132 books published. He has been awarded the Christopher Medal, Orbis Pictus Honor, ALA Gordon Award, and Outstanding Science book awards from National Science Teachers Associations. Jim was honored with the Franklin Fairbank Award for being Vermont’s foremost creative guide to nature lore. There will be a meet-and-greet afterwards for his book purchase and signing.

This is the first seminar of the 2021-2022 College of Sciences Faculty Chair theme: Animal Science: A STEAM Approach. Throughout the year, programming will aim to connect the Animal Sciences to the other disciplines comprising STEAM education (an extension of the previous STEM education model). Brian D. Whitaker is the current College of Sciences Faculty Chair. This presentation is made possible through collaborative efforts with Ben Sapp and the Mazza Museum.
